Neto's brace leads Everton past Chelsea in season opener

Everton secured victory over Chelsea with Pedro Neto scoring a brace in their opening fixture of the season. The Portuguese winger's two goals proved decisive in the match.

The victory was marred by a serious injury to Chelsea goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez. The incident occurred following a clash with Everton defender Jarrad Branthwaite during play. Martinez remained on the ground for nearly 10 minutes before being substituted off the field.

The injury cast a shadow over Everton's opening-day success, raising concerns about Martinez's availability for Chelsea's upcoming fixtures.
