FDA to inspect temple prasad at Ganesh Chaturthi mandals

Following regulatory scrutiny of ISKCON's food operations, the Food and Drug Administration has announced plans to monitor prasad distribution during the upcoming Ganesh Chaturthi festival. FDA officials will conduct inspections at mandals where the sacred offering is prepared and distributed to worshippers.
The move aims to ensure food safety standards are maintained during large-scale festival celebrations. The administration seeks to verify hygiene practices and ingredient quality in temple kitchens during the festival season.
This initiative reflects broader efforts to regulate food preparation at religious venues and mass gatherings across the state.
