FIFA accused of shirking responsibility for World Cup stake sale
Three major football confederations—UEFA, AFC, and CONCACAF—have issued a joint open letter to FIFA and President Gianni Infantino, accusing the organisation of failing to take ownership and accountability for the decision to sell a stake in the World Cup.
The confederations argue that football belongs to no individual and criticise FIFA for not adequately explaining or justifying the commercial arrangement involving World Cup rights.
