Five healthcare stocks hit 52-week lows as Sensex slides

The Sensex declined 242 points to close at 72,529 as five stocks from the BSE Healthcare Index touched 52-week lows on the trading day. Medico Remedies, Pfizer, AstraZeneca Pharma India, Sanofi Consumer Healthcare India and Eris Lifesciences were among the worst performers, recording their lowest prices in the past year.

Some of these healthcare stocks have slipped significantly, with declines reaching up to 48 per cent in the past month, reflecting broader weakness in the sector.
