Food Safety Violations Found at Major Restaurant Chains in Indore

The Food Safety Administration conducted inspections at several major restaurant chains in Indore on Tuesday, uncovering multiple violations. At Subway, vegetarian and non-vegetarian food were stored together; KFC lacked proper documentation and had open dustbins; Pizza Hut had incomplete medical records and flies in the food preparation area. La Pino'z had ingredients expired a day before inspection, while Domino's showed flies in the eating area and rodent droppings near storage.
Violations included improper food storage, absent person-in-charge at facilities, missing Certificates of Analysis for raw materials, incomplete staff vaccination and medical fitness records, and pest control failures. Four food samples were collected for testing from multiple establishments.
The Food Safety Administration issued improvement notices to all establishments, directing them to rectify deficiencies within a prescribed timeframe. Further legal action will follow if violations persist.
