Four-Year-Old Girl Dies in Gas Cylinder Blast in Madhya Pradesh

A four-year-old girl died and four others sustained serious injuries after a gas cylinder exploded in Gudar village under Khaniyadhana police station area in Shivpuri, Madhya Pradesh on Wednesday morning. The powerful blast caused the roof and walls of the house to collapse, trapping family members under debris. The injured were initially treated at Shivpuri Medical College before being referred to Gwalior for advanced care.
Officials said the exact cause of the explosion remains under investigation. Initial findings suggest the blast may have been triggered by diesel or petrol stored inside the house catching fire, or by an LPG cylinder explosion. Local residents reported the family ran a grocery shop and allegedly sold fuel in the area. Two gas cylinders were kept in the house at the time of the incident, and one cylinder could not be located after the blast.
