Bhopal lights up 2.5 lakh earthen lamps to mark PM Modi's 76th birthday

Bhopal marked Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 76th birthday on Thursday by illuminating around 2.50 lakh earthen lamps called Aashirwad Ka Diya across 11 major locations spanning 17 villages in the district. The symbolic gesture was organized to offer prayers for the PM's long life and good health while commemorating his 25 years in public service, a journey that began when he became Gujarat's chief minister on October 7, 2001.
Chief Minister Mohan Yadav led the celebrations, which marked the official launch of Seva Sankalp Abhiyan, a month-long public outreach campaign running from September 17 to October 17. The campaign will include welfare activities such as free property registration drives, health camps, and blood donation camps across Madhya Pradesh. Ministers, MLAs, and BJP leaders participated in the lamp-lighting programme, with blood donation held at JP Hospital where CM Yadav distributed fruit juice to donors.
