HCA to establish rural cricket academies as new stadium nears completion

The Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) is moving to strengthen cricket infrastructure in rural Telangana. According to HCA secretary M. Jeevan Reddy, the body plans to set up cricket academies in Mahabubnagar and Karimnagar by the summer season.

Reddy clarified that the development of a new stadium will not signal the end of cricket activities at the existing Uppal venue. The HCA's expansion plans aim to nurture talent across the state and revitalize the sport in areas beyond the metropolitan region.
