Over 70 tree species among 1,128 marked for felling for Hebbal tunnel project

Bengaluru's Hebbal tunnel infrastructure project has identified 1,128 trees for removal, spanning over 70 different species. The species slated for felling include Indian Kino, Big-leaf Mahogany, Beleric Myrobalan, Indian Jujube, Maple-leafed Bayur Tree, Paper Mulberry and Yellow Tabebuia, among several others.

The project, aimed at improving traffic connectivity in the city, requires significant tree clearance as part of its construction plan.
