HGCL invites tenders for 81-km Radial Road-2 expressway project
The Hyderabad Growth Corridor Limited (HGCL), a division of the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority, has invited tenders for Radial Road-2 (RR-2), an 81.15-km greenfield expressway. The project will connect the Outer Ring Road at Kothwalguda with National Highway 167N near Nacharam. The deadline for bid submission is September 30, with an 18-month completion timeline.
The ₹3,295-crore project spans three packages across Rangareddy, Vikarabad and Narayanpet districts. The four-lane corridor features a 75-metre right-of-way and will accommodate a future Metro corridor. It aims to improve connectivity between Hyderabad's southern urban belt and western Telangana.
The expressway is expected to redirect heavy freight and industrial traffic away from Hyderabad's core network, providing direct access to emerging industrial areas and supporting the broader radial roads network connecting with the proposed Regional Ring Road.
