Hockey India's selection process under scrutiny after World Cup setback

India's disappointing performance at the Hockey World Cup has drawn attention not only to coach Craig Fulton and senior players but also to the selection committee's functioning. Questions are emerging about how transparent and effective Hockey India's selection process has been in picking the squad.

The scrutiny comes as the national team failed to meet expectations at the tournament. Hockey administrators and observers are now examining the roles and accountability of those responsible for player selection, seeking clarity on the decision-making framework.
