Hyderabad's Ganesh idols go bigger and brighter this year with 72-foot giant and diamond-studded versions

Hyderabad's Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations this year feature unusually grand idol installations across the city. A 72-foot tall Ganesh statue has been erected as one of the main attractions, while another notable idol is studded with approximately 3.8 lakh diamonds, marking a significant scale-up from previous years.
The trend reflects the city's growing enthusiasm for elaborate festival displays, with organizers investing in larger and more ornate idols to enhance the celebratory atmosphere during the popular Hindu festival.
