Hyderabad Police Launch AI Kiosk for Faster Grievance Redressal

Hyderabad City Police Commissioner VC Sajjanar on Friday unveiled SETU, an artificial intelligence-powered smart kiosk, as a pilot initiative at Mehdipatnam Police Station. The system enables citizens to file complaints in their preferred language, with AI digitally recording statements and providing instant acknowledgement along with next-step guidance.
Each complaint receives a digital tracking system allowing senior officers to monitor progress and action taken until resolution. The kiosk is expected to reduce time spent by station staff on complaint registration, freeing them to focus on crime prevention and investigation.
Sajjanar stated that public welfare remains policing's top priority and that citizens should experience trust upon entering a police station. SETU, meaning 'bridge', aims to strengthen citizen-police trust through faster and more transparent services.
