HYDRAA Warns Public Against Extortion by Impersonators Posing as Officials

The Hyderabad Disaster Response and Asset Monitoring and Protection Agency (HYDRAA) has issued a public alert against extortion attempts by individuals impersonating its officials. The agency warned citizens not to fall prey to fraudsters demanding money in exchange for official intervention or favours.
HYDRAA advised the public to be cautious of threats or promises made by fake officials seeking payments. The agency emphasised that legitimate government actions do not require unofficial payments or intermediaries.
Residents who encounter such impersonators or receive extortion demands are urged to report the incidents immediately to local police or file complaints with the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB). HYDRAA reiterated its commitment to protecting citizens from such fraudulent activities.
