IAS Officer Neha Marvya Faces Staff Strike in Bhopal Over Alleged Misconduct

Officers and staff of the Tribal Area Development Programme in Bhopal went on a pen-down strike on Friday, protesting against their director Neha Marvya's working style. They alleged she frequently threatened employees with suspension, withheld increments, and issued show-cause notices. Reports indicate Marvya asked two additional women directors to leave a meeting on Thursday.
The department manages over 450 projects across Madhya Pradesh. Officials complained that Marvya demands immediate information and threatens staff with suspension if responses are delayed. The Tribal Area Development Programme's leadership also came under scrutiny from the State SC/ST Commission chairman Ramlal Rautel, who questioned scheme implementation and fund utilisation.
Marvya's tenure has been marked by disputes with various officials and politicians across multiple postings, including conflicts with a former minister, district officials, and legislators in different districts.
