IAS Ranveer Prasad becomes Chairman of UP Power Corporation

Ranveer Prasad, an IAS officer of Uttar Pradesh, has been appointed as the Chairman of the UP Power Corporation. Prasad, a 2000 batch officer, completed his engineering from IIT Kanpur and later passed the UPSC examination to become an IAS officer.

During his administrative career, Prasad has served as District Magistrate in Azamgarh, Mainpuri, Lalitpur, Sant Kabir Nagar, Unnao and Bhadohi. With an engineering background, Prasad has now been entrusted with the responsibility of managing the state's power system.
