IEX electricity trade volume rises 10.4% to 12.2 billion units in September

India Energy Exchange (IEX) recorded a 10.4% month-on-month surge in electricity trade volume, reaching 12.2 billion units in September. The exchange demonstrated robust performance during the second quarter of FY27, with total traded volume of 39,685 MU, representing a 12.7% year-on-year increase.

The growth reflects sustained demand for electricity trading and increasing participation in India's power markets. IEX continues to serve as a key platform for facilitating electricity transactions between generators, distribution companies, and other market participants.
