IIIT Lucknow campus closed till Sunday due to Gomti flooding, exams postponed

The Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Lucknow has closed its campus until Sunday in response to flooding from the Gomti River. The institute has postponed all scheduled examinations as a precautionary measure.
Approximately 800 hostel residents have been relocated to safer locations, while 300 other hostel inmates chose to return to their respective homes. The decision reflects the severity of the flooding situation affecting the campus and surrounding areas.
The closure and exam postponement underscore the challenges posed by seasonal flooding in the region and the institute's prioritization of student safety during the weather emergency.
