India-EU FTA expected to boost German investment inflow: Chamber chief

India and the European Union are poised to deepen trade ties and attract greater investment from German firms, according to the Indo-German Chamber of Commerce. Jan Noether, the chamber's chief, highlighted at the Indo-German Engineering Summit that German companies should prioritise investing in India's local supply chains. He pointed to opportunities in advanced manufacturing and sustainability sectors as key areas for collaboration.
Technology-sector partnerships between Indian and German firms could strengthen India's manufacturing capabilities and generate engineering employment, Noether said. Stronger bilateral engagement is expected to create lasting business relationships and unlock growth potential in both nations.
