India's exports to reach $1 trillion this fiscal, says Goyal

Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal has projected that India's exports will touch the $1 trillion mark in the current fiscal year. He attributed this milestone to the business opportunities emerging from nine free trade agreements that India has concluded in recent years.
Goyal emphasised that these FTAs open significant pathways for Indian exporters to access global markets at competitive terms. He encouraged industry bodies to capitalise on these agreements to boost export volumes across sectors.
The Minister urged the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) to establish FTA utilisation cells in states to help businesses better understand and leverage the benefits of these trade pacts. Such cells would serve as resource centres for exporters seeking to navigate the complexities of preferential trade frameworks and identify market opportunities.
