India-New Zealand FTA likely to come into force within a month

The India-New Zealand Free Trade Agreement is set to be implemented within the coming month, according to New Zealand's Trade Minister. The pact will provide Indian exporters with duty-free access to the New Zealand market.
New Zealand anticipates increased bilateral trade in chemicals, pharmaceuticals, and machinery sectors from India. Both countries have set an ambitious target to double their bilateral trade to NZ$7 billion by 2030, alongside enhanced movement of people and direct flight connectivity between the nations.
The agreement reflects growing mutual trust and establishes predictable trade rules between India and New Zealand, strengthening economic ties in the region.
