India-New Zealand FTA bars third-country goods from tariff benefits
Under the India-New Zealand free trade agreement, goods originating from third countries will not qualify for tariff concessions. Preferential treatment is restricted exclusively to products from India and New Zealand.
India has safeguarded sensitive sectors including dairy and gems and jewellery from duty reductions under the pact. The agreement also establishes a temporary employment visa pathway for skilled Indian workers, while introducing measures to facilitate student mobility and post-study work opportunities in New Zealand.
