Private investment in India projected at ₹3.2 lakh crore in 2026-27: RBI

The Reserve Bank of India has projected private capital expenditure at ₹3.2 lakh crore for the fiscal year 2026-27, indicating sustained investment appetite in the economy. The projection is based on analysis of projects financed through banks, financial institutions, external commercial borrowings and initial public offerings.
While the pipeline suggests continued momentum in private investment, the RBI noted that global uncertainties could potentially dampen business sentiment. The central bank's assessment reflects confidence in India's medium-term growth trajectory, though external factors remain a watch point for policymakers and investors.
