India has strongest growth outlook globally; 74% of chief economists expect robust growth
India's economic growth outlook remains the strongest among major economies, according to a World Economic Forum report. Seventy-four percent of chief economists surveyed expect robust growth in 2026, driven by resilient domestic demand.
However, rising energy prices continue to pose challenges for the economy. The survey found that only 45 percent of economists anticipate a weakening in global conditions in the coming year, a notable decline from earlier projections. Geopolitical conflicts have emerged as a major risk factor to economic stability.
