India on track for 8% growth target, says former RBI Governor Das

India is well-positioned to achieve 8% GDP growth as part of its broader vision to become a developed nation by 2047, according to Shaktikanta Das, former Governor of the Reserve Bank of India. Das emphasized that the country's economic resilience is not accidental but stems from focused reforms and strategic initiatives.
The government is prioritizing measures to strengthen domestic capabilities in energy and manufacturing sectors. Efforts are also underway to develop long-term financing mechanisms and expand India's participation in global supply chains, positioning the economy for sustained expansion.
