Indore Gears Up for 103-Year-Old Anant Chaturdashi with Heavy Security

Indore is preparing for its 103-year-old Anant Chaturdashi tableau procession on Friday evening, a major cultural tradition featuring illuminated and mechanised floats. The event will begin at 6 pm and continue through the night, with over 10 tableau committees presenting displays incorporating AI, 3D technology, hydraulics and special lighting effects.
The administration has deployed more than 2,000 security personnel across six divisions, 12 zones and 22 sectors. Arrangements include watchtowers, medical teams stationed along the route, ambulances at key locations, and police breathalyser checks. Drone units will monitor the procession for suspicious activity.
For women's safety, a dedicated 'Shakti Dal' team of women police personnel will be stationed along the route to provide immediate assistance. Additional measures include traffic management, sanitation, lighting and drinking water facilities throughout the event.
