Food Safety Inspections Find Hygiene Lapses at Five Major Indore Hotels

The Food Safety Administration in Indore conducted surprise inspections at five major hotels on Saturday and identified multiple irregularities. The inspections covered Hotel Marriott, Hotel The Park, Radisson Blu, Radisson RED and Hotel Grand Sheraton, examining food storage, labelling, kitchen hygiene, staff medical fitness records and drinking water safety standards.
At Hotel Marriott, inspectors found waterlogging and slippery kitchen conditions, old chopping boards, faulty dustbins and rusting storage trays. Pesticide testing reports for drinking water and drainage issues were also deficient. The Park Hotel had FSSAI licence display violations, rusting kitchen platforms and incomplete staff medical records. Radisson Blu lacked proper importer details on imported food products and had storage organisation issues.
Radisson RED showed labelling deficiencies and improper storage practices. All hotels were directed to remedy the identified violations within the prescribed timeframe to meet food safety standards.
