Milk Producers in Indore Launch Village-to-Village Campaign for Higher Prices

Milk producers in Indore district continued their village-to-village memorandum campaign on Thursday, submitting demands at over 50 Sanchi milk cooperative societies. Farmers sought higher milk prices, payment of pending bonuses, and additional incentives across villages including Baloda Takun, Takun, Dhaturia, and others.
Farmers cited rising costs of cattle feed, fodder, medicines, electricity and labour while milk prices stagnated, making dairy farming financially unviable. Farmer leader Bablu Jadhav demanded milk prices fixed at Rs 12 per fat unit, immediate clearance of pending bonuses, and an additional Rs 5 per litre incentive.
Jadhav warned of intensified agitation if demands remained unaddressed. The campaign reflects growing discontent among dairy farmers over pricing and payment delays.
