Indore MPs Push BSNL To Accelerate 4G And BharatNet Rollout In Rural Areas

The Indore Business Area of Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has committed to strengthening its 4G tower network and BharatNet project to enhance telecom services in remote villages. The commitment came during a Telecom Advisory Committee meeting at Meghdoot Park Telephone Exchange, attended by MPs Shankar Lalwani and Gyaneshwar Patil representing Khandwa, along with committee members from Indore, Khargone, Khandwa and Jhabua.
Senior general manager Pankaj Upadhyay outlined BSNL's telecom schemes and ongoing development initiatives. Discussions centred on expanding 4G services, BharatNet progress and strengthening digital connectivity across rural and remote areas. Lalwani directed officials to bring pending gram panchayats in Depalpur online under BharatNet to enable rural residents to access improved internet and digital services.
Khandwa MP Patil urged officials to expedite BharatNet rollout to gram panchayats in his constituency and activate pending 4G tower sites. He emphasised that reliable telecommunications infrastructure in rural areas was essential for citizens to benefit from digital services and government programmes.
