Indore Police Deploy AI Cameras, Shakti Patrols for Navratri and India-West Indies Match

Indore Police Commissioner Santosh Kumar Singh convened a high-level security review meeting with senior officials to prepare for the Navratri festival and the India-West Indies cricket match scheduled for Sunday at Holkar Stadium. Additional Commissioners and senior officers participated in finalizing crowd control, traffic management and safety protocols.
For Navratri celebrations, police will deploy AI-enabled facial recognition cameras at major temples and high-footfall zones to track known offenders. Garba venue organisers must obtain formal permits, ensure CCTV coverage, fire safety equipment and clear emergency exits. Dedicated 'Shakti Mobile' units will conduct continuous patrols near Garba venues, temples and markets to ensure women's safety. Breath analysers will be used at entry gates to prevent intoxicated individuals from entering venues.
Police stations have been directed to coordinate with local peace committees and monitor social media to prevent communal tensions. For the cricket match, comprehensive security arrangements will cover players, officials and spectators. Pre-planned traffic diversions and designated parking zones have been established around Holkar Stadium to manage congestion on match day.
