Indore Opens 3-Day Window to Restore 1.82 Lakh Deleted Voter Names

The Indore District Election Office will conduct a three-day special drive from October 7 to 9 to help voters whose names were deleted during the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) rejoin the electoral roll. Around 1.82 lakh voters were found absent and struck off during the SIR process.
During the drive, Booth Level Officers will be stationed at all polling stations across the district to assist eligible citizens in applying for inclusion via Form-6, without requiring a separate declaration form. District Election Officer Shivam Verma has urged residents to verify their voter status and apply if their names are missing but they meet eligibility criteria.
The initiative follows directions from the Chief Electoral Officer, who instructed the district to provide another opportunity to excluded voters. Officials have appealed particularly to young and newly eligible voters to visit their nearest polling station during the window, and political party representatives have been asked to support awareness efforts.
