Indore Zoo to Launch 14D Theatre with Virtual Reality Experience

The Kamala Nehru Zoological Museum in Indore is nearing completion of a 14D theatre, expected to open within 15 to 20 days. Developed under a Public-Private Partnership model since March last year, the theatre will use Chinese technology to offer visitors an immersive virtual experience.
Viewers will wear VR glasses while watching films, with 14 simultaneous special effects enhancing realism. Motion-enabled seats will synchronise with on-screen action, vibrations will accompany thunder, water sprays will simulate rain, and wind sensations will be conveyed. Zoo officials claim this is the first such theatre in any Indian zoo, built on previously unused zoo land.
