Iniyan Pa Maintains Lead After Draw With IM Harsh Suresh At 360 ONE Masters Chess Tournament

GM Iniyan Pa drew with IM Harsh Suresh in the 8th round of the 360 ONE Global Chess Festival's Master's Section at Mumbai's World Trade Centre, but maintained his one-point lead over the field. The National champion requires only a draw in the final round to clinch the title.

In the Challengers Category, overnight leader Viresh Sharnarthi was upset by lower-rated Ashirwad Swain of Odisha and dropped to third place. Nithin Babu stunned higher-rated FM Arun Kataria, with both jointly leading the category with 7 points each.

In the Junior Masters, Madhvendra Pratap Sharma consolidated his one-point lead with 7.5 points after defeating Vinayak Koleru. Winners of the Challengers and Junior categories directly qualify for next year's elite Masters Category.
