IPS officer Saravana Vivek M takes charge as Bhubaneswar DCP

Dr Saravana Vivek M, a 2015-batch IPS officer, took charge as the new Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) for Bhubaneswar on Friday. He was appointed to the position on September 22 as part of a four-officer IPS reshuffle and replaces Jagmohan Meena, whose resignation was accepted by the Centre effective September 11.

Vivek, an MBBS graduate, previously served as Superintendent of Police in Rayagada and Brahmapur before his appointment as DCP.
