VHP, Bajrang Dal Workers Clash With Garba Organisers in Jabalpur Over Playlist and Entry Policy

A dispute escalated into violence at a Garba event organised in Jasuja City, Jabalpur, when members of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) and Bajrang Dal arrived to raise objections. The organisations alleged that objectionable songs were being played and non-Hindus had been permitted entry to the venue.
When VHP's Durga Vahini wing members and Bajrang Dal workers attempted to inspect the event, they were stopped by bouncers at the gate. The confrontation turned physical, resulting in injuries to participants on both sides, including a police officer. Four to five workers, including women from Bajrang Dal, sustained injuries during the altercation.
Following the clash, a large number of Hindu organisation members gathered at the site, blocked roads, and disrupted traffic. Police deployed significant force and senior officers to the venue under the Sanjeevani Nagar police station jurisdiction. Officers persuaded the protestors to clear the area and restore traffic flow.
