15 passengers trapped in lift at Jabalpur railway station for 50 minutes, rescued by RPF

Around 15 passengers were trapped inside a lift at Jabalpur's Madan Mahal Railway Station on Tuesday after boarding with heavy luggage from the Amarkantak Express. The lift stopped midway at Platform No. 4, apparently due to excess weight, prompting the trapped passengers to raise an alarm.
Railway Protection Force personnel responded to the distress call. A lift mechanic was summoned from the main railway station to address the malfunction. After approximately 50 minutes, the lift was repaired and all passengers were safely evacuated one by one. No injuries were reported in the incident.
