GMC Jagtial medical students launch indefinite protest over four-year infrastructure delays

Medical students at Government Medical College, Jagtial, have begun an indefinite protest over a four-year delay in providing basic campus infrastructure. The students report being unable to access proper hostels, transportation, and campus facilities since their admission.
The delayed infrastructure has prevented students from participating in mandatory Rural and Urban Health Training Centre postings and community medical camps over the past three years. The lack of transport facilities has been identified as a key barrier to their clinical training obligations.
The students' demands centre on immediate provision of functional campus, hostel accommodation, and transport arrangements to enable their completion of required health training programmes.
