J&K Bank Posts 10.6% Rise in Q2 Profit to Rs 546 Crore

Jammu & Kashmir Bank has reported a year-on-year increase of 10.6 per cent in its second-quarter net profit, which reached Rs 546.4 crore. The lender's operating profit rose sharply by 26.7 per cent over the same period, signalling stronger core earnings.
The bank's asset quality also showed improvement, with gross non-performing assets declining to 2.23 per cent. This reduction points to better management of stressed loans on the balance sheet.
Growth on the lending and deposit side was equally notable. Advances expanded by 23.7 per cent to Rs 1.34 lakh crore, while deposits grew 16.3 per cent to Rs 1.77 lakh crore, reflecting steady demand for credit and rising customer trust.
Taken together, the figures present a picture of a bank strengthening its profitability while keeping its loan book healthier than before.
