Japanese financial institutions seek regulatory clarity on India investments
Japanese financial institutions have raised concerns about currency fluctuations and regulatory issues impacting their investment decisions in India. During Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal's visit, the firms expressed long-term confidence in India's growth prospects while emphasizing the need for greater policy predictability.
The institutions highlighted several priorities: streamlining profit repatriation processes, improving market access for foreign investors, and enhancing regulatory clarity. These measures, they argued, would support sustained capital inflows and strengthen their commitment to Indian markets.
