Raw jute prices ease as new crop arrives, mills operate at full capacity

Raw jute prices have moderated significantly from their July peak of ₹19,000 per quintal to around ₹12,500 per quintal as the new crop arrives in the market. The improved supply situation has eased constraints on jute mills, enabling them to operate at full capacity.
The price correction provides relief to spinning mills that process raw jute into finished products, reducing production bottlenecks caused by earlier supply tightness. The fresh harvest is helping stabilise the market after months of elevated prices.
