Karnataka faces widespread drought as rain deficit spreads across districts

Karnataka is grappling with a severe drought situation as nearly all districts in the state have recorded deficient rainfall. Only one district has escaped the rain deficit, while drought conditions are spreading across multiple taluks.
The state government has expanded drought designations to cover more administrative blocks as water scarcity worsens. The widespread rainfall shortfall poses risks to agriculture and water availability across the region.
