Karnataka Police exploring vehicle leasing model to optimise resources

Karnataka's Home Minister Priyank Kharge has indicated that the state police department is considering a shift from purchasing vehicles outright to adopting a rental or lease-based model.

Kharge stated that leasing would allow the force to deploy its available resources more efficiently and respond better to evolving operational needs. The move aims to enhance fleet management while reducing capital expenditure tied to vehicle acquisition.
