Kerala Agriculture University to Share Chocolate-Making Technology with Farmer Group

Kerala Agricultural University will transfer chocolate-making technology to a farmer group to increase the value of cocoa produce and encourage cocoa-based entrepreneurship. The initiative seeks to help farmers move beyond raw cocoa sales toward value-added products, potentially improving their income and market prospects.
The technology transfer programme supports smallholder cocoa farmers in developing processing capabilities within their communities. By enabling farmers to produce finished chocolate products, the university aims to create new revenue streams and strengthen Kerala's cocoa sector.
