Kerala Cabinet forms panel to review PM SHRI scheme implementation

The Kerala Cabinet has constituted a sub-committee to examine the implementation of the PM SHRI (Pradhan Mantri Schools for Rising India) scheme in the state. Chief Minister V D Satheesan stated that the government is compelled to proceed with the project as the previous Left Democratic Front administration had already signed an agreement with the Centre and received funds.

Satheesan indicated that while the current government has reservations about the scheme, it cannot withdraw from commitments made by its predecessor. The sub-committee will review how the scheme is being rolled out across Kerala's schools.
