Kerala CM holds emergency meeting over power crisis

Kerala Chief Minister V.D. Satheesan chaired an emergency review meeting on Friday to address the state's power crisis. Electricity Minister Sunny Joseph appealed for public cooperation, attributing the shortage to multiple factors including declining generation capacity and increased consumption.
The minister cited low rainfall, rising demand from air-conditioning and cooler usage, and growing electricity demand from electric vehicle charging as contributors to the crisis. The government is seeking coordinated action to manage the shortage.
