Kerala Excise Brings Back MDMA Case Fugitive From UAE

Shaun Sunil Bret, 24, of Attipra, has been brought back to Kerala from Abu Dhabi by the state Excise Department. Bret was the eighth accused in an MDMA drug seizure case registered in Thiruvananthapuram in 2023.

The fugitive had absconded and fled to the UAE to evade arrest. Following sustained efforts to locate and trace him abroad, Kerala Excise authorities coordinated with international law enforcement to secure his extradition.

Bret's return marks progress in the state's investigation into the drug trafficking case. He will now face proceedings related to the MDMA seizure case registered nearly two years ago.
