Kerala High Court denies interim relief to former DGP Thachankary in graft case

The Kerala High Court has declined to grant interim relief to former DGP S. Surendran Thachankary in his disproportionate assets case. The order came as Thachankary challenged his conviction and four-year sentence handed down by a Vigilance Court last week.
Thachankary had appealed against the Vigilance Court's verdict, seeking interim relief pending the outcome of his appeal. The High Court's refusal means he will not receive suspension of his sentence or other relief at this stage.
