Kerala HC reserves order on plea for FIR against CM Pinarayi in CMRL-Exalogic case

The Kerala High Court has reserved its order on a petition seeking registration of an FIR against Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, his daughter Veena, and others in the CMRL-Exalogic payoff case.

Justice A. Badharudeen reviewed information forwarded by the Enforcement Directorate to the State Police Chief during the hearing. The judge observed orally that the question of whether to conduct a preliminary inquiry before registering an FIR would need to be analysed on a case-by-case basis.

The case centres on allegations of improper payments linked to the Kerala Minerals and Metals Limited-Exalogic transaction.
