Kerala's 'Mayangilla Keralam' anti-drug drive files over 10,000 cases under Operation Thunder

Kerala's anti-narcotics initiative 'Mayangilla Keralam' has intensified enforcement efforts, with over 10,000 cases filed under Operation Thunder, according to the state's Excise Minister. Speaking in the Assembly, the minister detailed the drive's four-pronged approach to tackle drug trafficking and abuse.
The strategy encompasses enforcement action against traffickers, public awareness campaigns, de-addiction support services, and rehabilitation programmes for affected individuals. The operation targets both supply and demand reduction in the state's ongoing battle against drug menace.
The minister highlighted that the coordinated effort across multiple agencies aims to create a drug-free Kerala through comprehensive interventions at various levels.
