Kerala launches solar boat service on Veli-Kadinamkulam backwaters route

Kerala is set to launch a solar-powered boat service connecting Veli and Kadinamkulam starting September 30. The service will operate a four-hour journey route beginning from the Veli Tourism Village boat jetty, circling the Kadinamkulam backwaters before returning to Veli.

The initiative aims to offer tourists an eco-friendly way to explore the scenic backwater ecosystem while reducing reliance on conventional fuel-based transport.
